What to expect if you participate:
- You will be asked to answer a few questions (online) to see if you qualify.
- If you qualify, you will be asked to consent to participate.
- You will the be asked a few more questions and then you will receive AVITA (Aortic Valve Improved Treatment Approaches), an online learning tool, which will take about 15-20 minutes to complete.
- AVITA asks simple questions about your treatment goals and preferences. It gives you personalized feedback and a short summary that can be shared with your clinician to help them talk to you about the things that matter to you.
- Shortly after your upcoming visit with your heart team clinician (a cardiologist or surgeon) to discuss treatment, you will be emailed another survey that will take10-15 minutes to complete.
- You will be paid for your time and effort with online Amazon gift cards. If you complete all 3 surveys you will receive a total of $75. The first gift card ($40) will be emailed to you after completing the AVITA tool. The second ($35) will be emailed after completing the short survey after your cardiology appointment.
