AVITA was developed by Shared Decision Making Resources, a private research organization in Maine, whose mission is to help patients achieve better health through better decision making and communication with their clinician (http://sdmresources.info/).

This study is sponsored by Shared Decision Making Resources under a research grant from Edwards Lifesciences (https://www.edwards.com/).

The earlier stages of the study, which led to the development of the AVITA tool, was called The ASPIRE Study. ASPIRE stands for Aortic Stenosis Preferences In TREatment.

The study is guided by a remarkable team of patients with aortic stenosis and expert cardiology clinicians. You can learn more about us by visiting the page, About Our Team.
