Thomas G. Broussard, Jr., Ph.D

Patient Advisor

Thomas Broussard is no stranger to adversity. He has had a quadruple bypass, an aortic valve replacement, a stroke and aphasia (and lost his language), two Transient Ischemic Attacks (TIAs), renal stenosis, and aortic stenosis with a TAVR, all within ten years. In addition, he is a U.S. Naval Academy graduate, a shipbuilder, a business owner in career development and training, and a graduate of The Heller School at Brandeis University. Thomas founded Stroke Educator, Inc. (www.strokeeducator.com) in order to educate the public about stroke, aphasia, plasticity, recovery and how the brain works to rewire its language.
