Rachel is a research assistant on this project. She is a baker and french tutor from Burkina Faso and a mother to two children. She has played an integral role in the COVID-19 response, sewing masks for the community. She is actively involved with her church and the Midcoast New Mainers Group, an organization that provides support to those who have fled desperate conditions at home and have come to Maine to build a new life.
